Volunteer with YWCA Prince Albert and support multiple programs across the organization depending on what you’re most drawn to. Settlement Services regularly needs volunteers to help welcome newcomers, including support like teaching how to use the bus system, driving to appointments (with mileage reimbursed), tutoring in different topics, connecting a Canadian family with a newcomer family, or supporting a mother and baby conversation circle. There are also volunteer roles inside their housing and youth programs: Homeward Bound volunteers can support the lounge space in the evenings by being a welcoming presence, helping with refreshments, and facilitating games and crafts, plus some volunteers act as positive role models through outings like coffee or activities. Kindred Spirit volunteers can support activities for preschool children and be positive role models for mothers. Other programs listed include Terrance Place (spending time with youth through crafts, game nights, baking, or tutoring), Our House (cultural activities and crafts), and Rendalyn Home (crafts with youth or babysitting to give young mothers a break).
